Managing Amazon Bullet Points

Just a background on Amazon Bullet Points...

Testing shows that well-crafted bullet points increase sales. Customers rely on them to understand key product features as they highlight important or distinguishing facts about your product. Amazon allows up to 5 bullet points (500 characters limit per each).


We recommend using the following guidelines as you craft your bullet points:

  • Highlight the key features you want customers to consider, such as dimensions, age appropriateness, ideal conditions for the product, skill level, contents, country of origin, and so on.

  • Maintain a consistent order. If your first bullet point is country of origin, keep that same order for all your products.

  • Reiterate important information from the title and description.

  • Begin each bullet point with a capital letter.

  • Write with sentence fragments and do not include ending punctuation.

  • Do not include promotional and pricing information.

The bulleted list below follows these guidelines in describing a set of rain gear:

  • 100% waterproof

  • 100% breathable

  • Available in khaki, yellow, or green

  • Money-back satisfaction guarantee

 

How can Shopping Feed help fill in these Bullet Points on my Amazon listings?
Shopping Feed allows you to easily manage bullet points on your Amazon listings.
You can do that by accessing the Field Mapping tab of your Amazon channel. From there, you will have multiple ways to add bullet points to your listings. By default, your product tags are mapped with BulletPoint1 field.
NOTE: Do not forget to click button at the bottom of the page to save changes.

Option 1. Assign “Static field” to the BulletPoint fields and specify the value that you would like to be sent over to Amazon for each of them;

Option 2. Map existing fields coming from your storefront to the Amazon Bullet Point fields;

NOTE: You can also create new fields, if needed and map them with the BulletPoint fields.

Option 3. Use bullet points from your Shopify Product Description for Amazon listings.
Shopping Feed allows Shopify users to take bullet points from the Product Description and add them to Amazon listings. To accomplish that, you simply need to map BulletPoint1 filed with the description field, and not to assign any values to other 4 BulletPoint fields.

NOTE:
- Bullet points need to be added to the description as a “bulleted list” and should not contain any extra HTML tags (bolding, underlining, etc);
- Only first 5 bullet points will be added to your Amazon listings.
