Set up parallel tracking in Shopping Feed:

1. Disable tracking URL

To set up parallel tracking, it is first necessary to remove the current tracking URL from the feed.

To do this, simply go to
Field Mapping tab of your Google Shopping Channel in Shopping Feed.
On that page, we need to modify line #24 adwords_redirect by mapping it with an empty Static field.
(Select "Static Field" option (found at the top of the drop-down list) and leave the box that appears blank).

Do not forget to save changes by clicking "Modify Mapping" button at the bottom of the page.

2. Fetch and reprocess the updated feed in your Google Merchant Center

a. Go to your Google Shopping Channel in Shopping Feed and click orange "Update" button (found at the top-right corner of the page) and wait for the feed update to be processed (it usually takes 10-20 minutes).

b. Fetch and reprocess the updated feed in your Google Merchant Center. To do this:
-Login to your Google Merchant Center;
-Go to Products> Feeds (select the needed feed)> click “Fetch Now” and then “Re-Process Feed” buttons from the Processing tab.


 

3. Set up Parallel Tracking in your AdWords account

a. Go to "Settings> Account Settings> Tracking" in your AdWords account

b. Go to the Settings tab of your Google Shopping Channel in Shopping Feed. At the bottom of that page, you can find the URL to use for parallel tracking.

c. Simply paste that URL to the corresponding field in your AdWords account.



d. Test the URL to make sure it’s working and click “Save”.
